My granddaughter, Lola, was born in 2006 with a rare disease called Sturge-Weber syndrome (SWS).  Children with Sturge-Weber syndrome are born with a port-wine birthmark and abnormal blood vessels in the brain and eye. These abnormal blood vessels cause problems such as seizures, strokes, vision loss, intellectual challenges and more.

As a grandparent of a child with a rare disease, it's my mission to help raise money and awareness for Sturge-Weber syndrome and children afflicted with SWS. Funds raised support research into new treatments and therapies and, someday, a cure for this disease,

led by Dr. Anne Comi of the Hunter Nelson Sturge-Weber Syndrome Center at Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore.

Over the past several years I have grown a successful Real Estate business in the Melbourne, Florida area.  For years I have tried to figure out how to use my brokerage license to raise money for charity.  In early 2016, an acquaintance of mine told me how he was raising money for a charity through a brokerage.  It didn't take me long to create Real Estate Charities and start RealEstateCharities.com.
